DiamaKrete™ Acrylic Polymer Admixture is the liquid side of every DiamaKrete repair. Mix it with DiamaKrete Polishable Mortar or DiamaKrete Polish Grout in place of water and you get a polymer-modified repair instead of a plain cement one. That matters: plain cement mortar is strong in compression but weak in tension, shrinks as it dries, and bonds poorly to existing concrete. Acrylic polymer raises bond strength and flexural strength, improves resistance to abrasion, impact, and cracking, and reduces permeability. The emulsion carries the water the cement needs to cure, so no water is added. Mortar mixed with too little acrylic may not bond properly. Adjust consistency with liquid or powder, never with water.
Mortar and Grout Formulas
Two formulas, one for each product. DiamaKrete Acrylic Polymer Admixture M pairs with Polishable Mortar at 4 parts powder to 1 part liquid. DiamaKrete Acrylic Polymer Admixture G pairs with Polish Grout at 2 parts powder to 1 part liquid. Pick the one that matches your repair and mix at the stated ratio.
